Walmer Township
Situated between Port Elizabeth Airport and the suburb of Walmer. Walmer Township is home to about 70,000 indivduals maily from the indigenous Xhosa Community.
For the most part ot looks like classic Township, but in recent years goverment projects have introduced a higher level of services and regenerated some areas of housing.
However many social problems remain, HIV infection rates run at 30%, Unemployemt is over 80%.
The zone we will be working in know as Zone Q has least facilities and is most under developed, having no running water and no sewage system.
